چکیده

it to currently accepted delay estimators implementing a variety of sub-sample interpolation methods. Simulation results show that this algorithm significantly outperforms other algorithms in terms of jitter and bias over a broad range of conditions. For a 5 MHz, 50% bandwidth signal sampled at 40 MHz with a sub-sample delay of 0.3 samples, the bias of the proposed method is over 300 times smaller than that for the normalized correlation with grid slope interpolation, and over 80 times better than that for normalized correlation implementing cosine fitting interpolation. Computational costs associated with this algorithm are comparable to those of other methods.

Repeatability of Detecting Visual Cortex Activity in Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Introduction As functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is too expensive and time consuming, its frequent implementation is difficult. The aim of this study is to evaluate repeatability of detecting visual cortex activity in fMRI. Materials and Methods In this study, 15 normal volunteers (10 female, 5 male; Mean age±SD: 24.7±3.8 years) attended. Functional magnetic resonance images were ob...

Does P3b guide and sometimes dictate our behavior?

Several studies indicated that the P3b component is related to both stimulus and response processes. Referring to this, we proposed a new functional account of the P3b as manifestation of memory consolidation processes that has short-enduring implications on performance. Using the arrow version of the Eriksen flanker task, we tested this assumption on sequential effects. By modulating the trial...

Localizing P300 generators in visual target and distractor processing: a combined event-related potential and functional magnetic resonance imaging study.

Constraints from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) were used to identify the sources of the visual P300 event-related potential (ERP). Healthy subjects performed a visual three-stimulus oddball paradigm with a difficult discrimination task while fMRI and high-density ERP data were acquired in separate sessions. This paradigm allowed us to differentiate the P3b component of the P300, ...

A simultaneous ERP/fMRI investigation of the P300 aging effect.

One of the most reliable psychophysiological markers of aging is a linear decrease in the amplitude of the P300 potential, accompanied by a more frontal topographical orientation, but the precise neural origins of these differences have yet to be explored. We acquired simultaneous electroencephalogram (EEG)/functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) recordings from 14 older and 15 younger adu...

The neurophysiology of P 300--an integrated review.

Event-related potentials (ERPs) are very small voltages recorded from the scalp which originate in the brain structures in response to specific events or stimuli. They appear as a series of peaks and troughs interspersed in the Electroencephalogram (EEG) waves. The exact neural origins and neuropsychological meaning of the P300 are imprecisely known, even though appreciable progress has been ma...
